Um dia a lebre foi à casa do caçador, que estava fora caçando. Ela disse à mulher do caçador "Venha morar comigo na minha casa; temos carne, verduras e legumes todos os dias". A mulher a acompanhou , mas, depois de ver a sua toca, de comer grama e dormir ao relento com ela, não ficou muito satisfeita. Ela disse: "Quero voltar". A lebre disse:"Foi você quem quis vir para cá". Como não conhecia o caminho através da mata, a mulher falou:"Venha comigo, que lhe preparo um belo jantar". A lebre conduziu a mulher até a casa desta. Então a mulher disse"Vá buscar um pouco de lenha".
A lebre foi à floresta e trouxe um pouco de lenha. A mulher acendeu o fogo e pôs a panela sobre ele. Quando a água ferveu, ela pôs a lebre na panela. Quando o caçador chegou em casa, ela disse: "Peguei uma lebre para o jantar". O caçador nunca soube o que tinha acontecido.
One day the hare went to the hunter house, who was out hunting. It told to the women hunt "Come live with me in my house; I have meat and vegetables every day". The women followed, but, after seeing it burrow, eating grass and sleeping outside, she didn´t feel very pleased. She said "I want to come back". The hare said "It was you who wanted to came here." She didn´t know the way to come back home, so she said "Come with me, I´ll give you a nice dinner". The hare led the women to her home. So the women said "Go take some firewood".
The hare went to the forest and took some firewood. The women lit the fire and put a pot on it. When the water has boiled, she put the hare there. When the hunter arrived home, she said "I picked a hare for the dinner". The hunter never knows what had happened.
